The tournament was held April 16-19, 2021 at the Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Over one thousand fencers from across the United States competed in Division I, Y14, Y12, and Y10 events.

Nick Itkin (LAIFC) lands a solid touch on 2016 Olympian Gerek Meinhardt (Kentucky Div.) in the finals of the December NAC.

The December North American Cup Fencing Competition for 2019 was held on Dec. 6-9 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Fencers competed in Div. I, Div. II, Veteran, and Senior Team events. Congratulations to our medalists!

Daryl Taylor (Fortune) lands a counterattack on the mask of Walter Dragonetti (Nevada Div.) in the finals of the Vet-60 Men’s Epee event at the April NAC in Salt Lake City.

The Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah was the venue for this season’s Division I/Wheelchair National Championships and April NAC (April 12-15, 2019) where Southern California fencers made a fine showing, bringing home 20 medals in all.

Veteran fencer Daryl Taylor won gold in the Vet-60 Men’s Epee event, defeating five-time Veteran National Champion (and two-time Veteran World Champion) Walter Dragonetti 5-4 in the finals. This marked the fourth time that the two had met in the finals or semi-finals of a National tournament, but the first time that things went Daryl’s way.

Special recognition also goes to our two Division I National Championship medalists: Madison Zeiss (foil) and Kasia Nixon (epee). Each finished 5th.

Sixty-five SoCal fencers (25 women and 40 men) made the trek to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for four days in October to compete in the first North American Cup competition of the 2018-19 season. Twenty-six events were contested in Division I, Division II, Cadet and Wheelchair.

Inside the Virginia Beach Convention Center, venue for the 2018 January NAC.

The brutal winter storm that hit the East Coast last week grounded thousands of flights and prevented many SoCal fencers from making the long trip to Virginia Beach for the January NAC. But despite their depleted numbers, SoCal fencers still managed to make their presence known, bringing home five medals, four of which were gold. To all of our medalists, and especially the LAIFC women, great job!
