On August 20, Beverly Hills Fencers’ Club hosted the first of a planned series of sanctioned tournaments for veterans (born 1978 or earlier) in Epee and Foil.
The winner of the Epee event was Frank Hewitt (A2017, Cabrillo Academy of the Sword). Jerry LeBlanc (U, Beverly Hills Fencers’ Club) was Runner-Up. Jim Beihold (A2016, Swords Fencing Studio) and David Hamel (U, Gryphon Fencing) tied for 3rd Place.
The winner of the Foil event was Oliver Foellmer (A2017, LA International Fencing Center). David Moran (C2017, South Coast Fencing Center) was Runner-Up. Richard Lim (E2014, Beverly Hills Fencers’ Club) and Paul Kazimiroff (D2014, Beverly Hills Fencers’ Club) tied for 3rd Place.
